I found this sweet grouping of hearts at a local shop. I fell in love and knew that they would be perfect for my kitchen door. They make me smile when I come in and see them.

Wooden with Lace
Well visiting an antique mall in Enid, Oklahoma I saw these bag of wooden thread spools. The last time I had seen some was at my Nanny's years ago. I thought I would add some lace and make them beautiful. I displayed them in a white bowl. Now, I can think of my Nanny everytime I see them.

Shopping in Oklahoma
My husband is working in Oklahoma and so with a long weekend ahead, I went to visit this weekend. I went to Hobby Lobby and went up-and-down evey isle. I don't think I have ever done this before. I bought all kinds of things for future craft project. You will be seeing some of them in the future.
This is my new wind chime. I love me some white and teapots.
I have this thing for keys right now. I couldn't pass this up. I think I know his new home.
I love this post card and the back is filled with the sweetest note to a girl's parents.

Valentine in the Air
Coffee anyone? My husband went to the store for me and brought back a heart with some chocolates. I knew that I had plans for the chocolate and the box.
With a little glue and emblishments, a new heart was born.

Make Do
I love to take something that you already have and make it work in your space. Here is a small project that I ended up really liking and will make more.
Had this but it was just plain.
Added a scrap of burlap with hot glue.
I added some burlap ribbon and some lace.
This is the shelf before my lovely new holder.
Added buttons
This looks so much better. I am going to make another for the other colorful books. I am trying to keep everything neutral.

A Little Light
I have been working on my studio/craft area. It is a sitting room that goes into my bedroom. I would love for it to be all white and off-white but all the shelves are cherry wood. This is a built- in that was made by a dear friend who is no longer with us. I added these lights to lighten up the area. It looks so cool at night.
I am into birds and birdhouses. I have to have white though.
Remembering good times.

Working on Guest Room
This is my son's old bedroom. He have been married for six years and it was past time to make some changes. I have always wanted a white bedroom. So the change begins.
I found this at a cute little shop. It has a vantage look. The window below was dark wood so I painted it with an off white.
This tray was also dark wood so I sprayed it and added doilies to soften the look.
I found these frames. It is just burlap and some old stamps.
Love the heart design in the doily below.
I can't pass up a doily. Look at the detail. These are in the two widows with matching angels.

Before and After
After
It was time to clean out my bookcase. I went through my books and sorted according to color. I tried to find a place to give those that I have read and didn't want to keep. I added white accents and doilies. I was inspired by a blog that I viewed called The Refeathered Roost . I love blogs!Spring is at the Door
I was feeling like adding a little spring to the front porch so I made this wreath. I took a twig wreath found at Goodwill for $2.00 and wrapped it with off-white burlap ribbon. I then lopped the ribbon and hot glued it all around the wreath. I made a burlap flower out of a scrap of burlap that I had. I added a couple of daisies on each side of the burlap flower. Last I added a white C for Cristy because I didn't have a W for Waire. My granddaughter thought it was not right to have a C because I am not the only person who lives here. LOL

Rustic Tassel
Found this tassel at an after Christmas sell. It was a Christmas tree ornament. I love the rustic with the ribbons. It reminds me of my husband and I. He is real manly man and I like ribbons, lace and pretty. Thank goodness he lets me decorate our home anyway that I want.
