Pincushion

 

I was at home yesterday because of a Snow day. After viewing some different blogs, I became inspired and started making pincushions from items that I already had. One was made from an old sugar bowl and the other from a metal jewelry box. They are very useful and pretty too.

This is one of my favorite pieces. I have used it in so many ways and different places in my home. I need to purchase some more. Do you have a piece that you use over and over?

You have to love unexpected snow! I am a teacher and I don't know who was more excited the kids or the teachers to get out early today. I think it may have been the teachers. This was taken from my home's back window.

I found these cut wings at an after Christmas sell for $1.40. I moved a few things and added the wings.

I found these two little cuties at a shop at 75% off after Christmas. They were only a dollar. Loving things that are white, I thought these would be great for Valentine's day. They may get to stay out year round.      XOXO 

Something Different

 

Christmas is over! Time to change some areas of the house. Do you ever look around and want to change things up? I do it a lot. I will look at other blogs or Pinterest for inspiration. Lace, Lace and More Lace

As I was looking at other blogs, I saw how to create a table runner by over laying your lace pieces. I dug in my treasure box and put together this runner. I love it!. You just hand stitch these together on the back. Something old becomes new.
